FWE – e-series graduation

Women Entrepreneurs Unite!

It seems just yesterday that I went to my first 2010 FWE-e-series  session (Forum for Women Entrepreneurs sponosored by Odlum Brown) and goodness the weather isn’t much different now than when we started in January!, but we’re winding up and have had our graduation.

I really enjoyed collaborating with other businesswomen who are also focusing on growing their companies.

Thank you to Cristina Anthony of Odlum Brown, Jill Earthy, Angel Mok et al. at FWE, the great speakers who came in (including a highlight for me Chris Flett Founder of Ghost CEO), the program sponsors:

Price Waterhouse Coopers
VanCity,
Birks for hosting the graduation,
Blo Hair Dry for all of our fancy hairdos on the night and all the other great sponsors for their support.

Wishing you a Clean & Green day!

Tess

“Geothermal: Both Time-tested and Visionary"

Going Clean & Green is not a new idea...

It always makes me smile when I hear people refer to geothermal and solar projects as new and cutting edge for the 21st century.

“What is the Green Economy and why is it a good investment?”

The Evolution Fund: "Putting Green into your investments"

The Green Economy makes so much sense to me, if for no other reason than how well it aligns with my commitment to always follow best practice.

So it is sometimes hard to remember that just ten years ago the phrase would have been seen as inherently contradictory. We used to think that we either had to look ...

Tremendous Support for SME in Barcelona

Vancouver Board of Trade Urban Field Trip Study 2010- Barcelona, Spain

Just got back from an amazing two weeks in Barcelona – four days of which were as part of a Vancouver Board of Trade Urban Field Trip delegation. Despite the paella and sangria that I enjoyed at every opportunity, my main impression of Barcelona is of a very cosmopolitan European city rather than a particularly Spanish one.
